Wood-soda fired in a catenary arch kiln, this angular bud vase has a subtle beauty in its color gradient. Natural iron in the clay body produces metallic speckles, while the angles and lines of the form are highlighted by the soda deposited during the firing process. This piece is unglazed, the surface is entirely due to the firing process.

note: while the unlgazed interior can feel somewhat dry and/or rough, the clay did get hot enough to vitrify and will hold water
